Castle Hill Partners is managed and owned by principals whom have spent their professional careers in property development, operations, and financial workouts.
The firm is versed in bankruptcy resolution, financial restructure, and administration of CRE debt and have acquired over $1B in performing and non-performing debt instruments as well as originated and issued over $1B in structured finance.
Over the past thirty years, CHP has been capitalized by top U.S. Institutional Investors, including most of the major Wall Street Investment Banking firms.
History of the Castle
Founded in 1868 in Bastrop, the Texas Military Institute moved to Austin in 1870. The same year, this Victorian “Castle” was built to serve as headquarters for the young men’s preparatory school. Prominently sited on top of a hill in view of the Capitol, the structure was owned by the Texas Military Institute until the school formally closed in 1880. From 1884 until 1887, the TMI Castle was the site of Jacob Bickler’s Texas German and English Academy.

Carson City, NVClear Creek is a private golf and mountain residential club community on 2,100 acres near Lake Tahoe. Partnered with The Nature Conservancy and the U.S. Forest Service to permanently preserve and sustain significant land within the development. Provided over $50MM of amenities including nationally ranked Coore & Crenshaw golf course (#1 ranked course in Nevada and #24 in the U.S.), architecturally and historically significant lake house, extensive family campus, and Hart Howerton-designed clubhouse. Developed all infrastructure for 400 high-end residential lots. Homesites range from $850,000 to $3.8M.
Travis Club
Austin, TXTravis Club is a 1,500-acre private residential club community in Austin, Texas on Lake Travis. The community offers a private 18-hole golf course designed by Beau Welling, 2 miles of lake frontage, an extensive private trail network, and approximately 700 custom homesites with Texas Hill Country and lake views —all connected by a collection of private club venues offering best-in-class recreation and experiences for every generation. In partnership with Haas and Haynie, Hart Howerton, Beau Welling Design, and Avid Trails, homesites at Travis Club are anticipated to be available in late 2023.
Saddleback
Peoria, AZA new kind of community is being woven into the Sonoran hills near Lake Pleasant, northwest of Phoenix, AZ. Where trails travel higher, nature is wilder, city life is close enough, and community has an artful touch. Saddleback will be a master planned community that encompasses over 5,000 acres of Sonoran desert and offers over 600 acres of open space, 50+ miles of trails, and amenities that serve as a basecamp for adventurers of all ages.

Houston, TXThe Trails is a 1,500-acre master planned community in Northeast Houston, TX. The site will have 2,200+ residential lots, 600+ acres of open space and trails, and an amenity campus including a resort-style pool, splash pad, recreation center, playground, and event lawn. The Trails is built within a 9,000-acre tract acquired and master developed by CHP.
Pine Mill Ranch
Katy, TXExpedited closing on a distressed, but active, master planned land development in Katy, TX. Developed over 1,100 residential lots and managed Special Financing District. Tripled residential sales within two years to over 400 sales annually (top 25 MPC in USA).
Trinity Falls
McKinney, TXDeveloped a 1,700-acre master planned residential community with a dedicated 300- acre regional park in McKinney, TX. Multiple award-winning development including most successful initial phase in DFW metroplex history. Project tasks included offsite infrastructure expansion, complex thoroughfare negotiations with TxDOT and North Texas Tollway Authority, FEMA flood plain mapping and reclamation, creation of school district partnership and multi-jurisdictional development agreements.
